●Finding the carousel找行李轉盤

 Customer：Excuse me. Could you tell me where I can claim my luggage?
Attendant：Let’s see…you came in on Flight 271. Your bags will be on carousel three in the baggage claim area.
Customer：Thanks. And how do I get there from here?
Attendant：Just take a left down that hallway and follow the signs. You can’t miss it.

為了從一大堆行李中迅速找出自己的行李，也避免相似的行李被人領走，你可以在行李上放上自己的「名牌」name tag，或貼上「貼紙」sticker。
倘若你在「行李轉盤」baggage carousel 前遲遲等不到自己的行李，那麼有兩種可能，一種是行李延誤，另一種則是行李遺失了！不論是哪種情況，你都可以拿著「行李存根」baggage claim tag 到「行李領取中心」baggage claim office/counter/center，找服務人員幫忙。

基本上，到了行李招領中心，開場白應該都是：I lost my luggage. Here’s my claim tag. 這時候請務必清楚地描述行李款式，例如究竟是「硬皮箱」 hardside suitcase、「背包」backpack、還是「筒狀旅行袋」duffel bag等。假如你的行李箱有輪子，記得加上 with wheels 即可。
要是你發現行李在運送過程中，受到碰撞或擠壓，你也可以到行李招領中心去「申請損害賠償」file a claim，不過通常都是「二十四小時以內」within 24 hours 必須提出申請。
